About FHSGNY
The Federation of Hellenic Societies of Greater New York was officially established on
August 12, 1938, following a decision taken by the designated Representatives of the following
Associations and Local Societies:
Athenians, Aetoloakarna1t11ians, Andrians, Vrisses Ananitis, North Epinns, Ellllboeans,
Thesians, Icarfa.ITT1s, Karystonians, Kasforians, Cephalonians, Corinthians, Cretans
“Omonoia”, Kythirians, Lacedaemonians, Messinians, N afpaktians, Pirneans, and Chi ans,
at the meeting held on November 22, 1937, in the haU of the Cretan Assodation “Omionoia”.

This year’s observance signifies 205 years of Greek autonomy and 250 years of American independence, highlighting the shared values of liberty and democracy that bind our nations. We are pleased to announce the Grand Marshals of this year’s celebration, whose tireless efforts exemplify the resilience and solidarity of our community.
